Simple Is Hard

A small blog about building fewer, better things.

Why static still wins

A static site can live on almost any host, deploy in seconds, and survive vendor churn. There is nothing to patch, nothing to scale, and nothing to hack beyond the files themselves.

You lose some toys: personalization, dashboards, infinite interactivity. But for writing, the trade is worth it.

The most durable websites I know are the ones that barely change. That is the bar this blog aims for.
